(2019.08.20)Ningbo, China Joyson Electronics, one of the leading auto intelligent driving and auto safety suppliers of the world, achieves a good performance in the first half of the year 2019, with the revenue more than 30.8 billion Yuan RMB, arise 36 percent, compared with the same period of the previous year. Furthermore, the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies excluding recurring gains and losses increases more than 25 percent as 572 million Yuan RMB. 

In Europe, the intelligent information systems based on the Android Auto of Google for Volkswagen and Audi will start of production in 2020. And the same products for the platform of Volkswagen MQB and MEB in China also will start of production in the second half of 2019 as well.

Joyson Electronics said that they have provided the updated HMI products for the new BMW X5, X6, X7, and the new A7, A8, Q7 and Q8 of Audi. Especially for the car cockpit systems of new Cayenne which is a European high-end brand customer, Joyson has achieved the recognition of the top leading auto manufacturers, basing the technologies like iDrive systems, multimedia control systems, climate control systems, etc. 

Besides the key customers as BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Geely, Joyson Electronics successfully achieved several orders related to the E-Mobility business, such as the battery management systems and charring and discharging systems for the new supper sports electric car Taycan, as well as the MQB and MEB platform of Volkswagen, and other brand like Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Ford and SGMW. What’s more, the OBC products will be provided for the international auto manufacturers as Volvo and Ferrari. 

The automotive safety business unit (Joyson Safety Systems) wins a great success in the global integration and strengthening its competitiveness, as the automotive electronics business becomes the centerpiece of the report. The semi-annual report said that amount of the restructuring plan of Asia region and the rest of Asia region has been finished smoothly, while the others of American region and EMEA region were currently being implemented. The operational sites of JSS were reduced to 86 from 105 when it was just acquired on April 2018. Therefore, the integration and the restructuring of JSS were in progress successfully, as the human resources structure was optimizing now, and the productivity has risen greatly.

In the first half of 2019, new orders of German and Japanese brand increased significantly. Joyson Electronics said that it was confident enough to achieve the target of new order intake as 8 billion US dollars. In the foreseeable future, Joyson has the ambition to promote the market share in the next five years by improving the profitability, and to become the top leading supplier of the world in the automotive safety systems area.
